The contemporary work of art must create a shock. Analysing a painting or a sulpture is far from compulsory. The work, at first, has simply to touch you, to stimulate your sensibility.

I want to introduce you to the crap, to make you look at the discarded, the "ugly", to involve you into the violence, but also the dignity, the greatness, the beauty of salvaged materials. Looking at them is already playing, and already thinking.

I want my paintings, my sculptures to discard the visual, or, as Duchamp has put it, the retinal side. The work of art has to have a philosophical, a political, or/and a religious ambition.
